Thank you for reading my very first post on my first blog. This first post is about a book I started to read late this summer. It’s called The Other Wes Moore, by Wes Moore. This wouldn’t have been a book that I would choose to read on my own so it was very much a struggle for me to get through it. This story tells us about the lives of two men named Wes. The first Wes, is the author of the book. Wes’s mother’s had been married twice. Her first husband, his sister’s father, was abusive. She later met and married another man and together they raised Wes and sister. His father ended up dying from a lung disease when he was young. He eventually to attend military school, grew up and joined the Army reserves and completed multiple degrees. The other Wes was raised by his mother. His father was an alcoholic and wasn’t around or really in his life. His brother,Tony, was a drug dealer and always hung out in the streets. At a young age, Wes had his first arrest for fighting.
